    Raridon and Wisnieski

Sorry if I missed this in any thread related to Lazard and Campos or of Bielema to Arkansas, but with Iowa's season and Wisonsin being coachless are we running down Raridon and Wisnieski?

    Sam Raridon - Yahoo! Sports

    Especially with Bibbs visiting Oklahoma.

Did we want Raridon? It seem like the staff is not going too heavy on DTs this recruiting cycle. I believe we did want Wisnieski, but Iowa has produced some great TE in the past(not with Greg Davis, but details).

Rivals doesn't show an offer to Raridon, but I have to imagine there would be interest considering he has offers from Iowa and Wisconsin.

Pretty sure Wisnieski's dad or mom played some sport at Iowa State, I think? Correct me if I'm wrong. I kind of highly doubt he'd come to Iowa State though.

Raridon's sticking with Wisconsin. Take it to the bank. He never really had any interest in ISU.

    Re: Raridon and Wisnieski

I would recommend watching the senior highlights video for both Alex Leslie and Jon Wisnieski. Both are very good football players. In my opinion, Jon Wisnieski looks like an U of I TE. Alex Leslie looks like an ISU TE. (Actually, Leslie reminds me a lot of Collin Franklin.)

    Re: Raridon and Wisnieski

ISU did not offer Raridon and rumor at the time was that Iowa pulled his offer.
ISU was late to the table with Wisnieski but I think it was more due to him being more of a pro style TE as opposed to an Hback type. Don't get me wrong, I think ISU would have liked to have him, but I think both sides understood he would be a better fit at IA.
Exaggeration is a BILLION times worse than understating.

His dad dave played baseball for ISU and their family from Nevada were all huge ISU fans. Smart kid, my guess is if he is going to Iowa its because of what degree he wants and type of player he is.

And to spite ISU for dropping baseball of course.

Or maybe it had something to do with Bibbs and Leslie having committed, and taking the two TE slots for the class. I don't see why it should be any more complicated than that.
