I'm really excited about all 3 of these guys (will be 4 if Bibbs signs). All 3 are the kind of players you want to see coming into the program, good size and/or speed, and great offer lists.

I find your post curious. Creekmur played quarterback in HS and has been practicing against the ISU linebackers since transferring. I would guess he knows well what it is to get hit. Do you know something? I see you hail from Scottsdale.

The scared comment is straight from one of his ex-assistant coaches from ASU that I know. During his first game his freshman year said coach looked at him on the bench and asked him if he was ready to go and Chanse said, "I'm scared coach." We had a convo a couple of months back about Chanse at a party and he said Chanse's work ethic was horrible. He always gave up at the first sign of adversity. When he lost his minutes to a freshman his sophomore year he stopped trying.

I don't believe Meeks has played LB much recently, so I expect him to redshirt to learn the position more.

A coach talking trash about a player that transferred out? Unheard of!!

You compared Chanse to 2 HOF TE, he may do okay, but IMO this is our thinnest position.
one option I was hopping for was Jaq Daniels, he seemed to have the body, but maybe that was why he left.

Well if he runs like a "scared rabbit" after catching that football that might be a good thing. Thanks for your thoughts.

Sounds like sour grapes that was coming from the ASU coach that lost Chanse.

Not calling out ZJohnson at all because the asst. coach very well could have said that those were Chanse's exact words... but who on earth would actually say that to their coach????

Re: RECRUITING: Wimberly, Curtis, Meeks LOI's are in
Chanse was also a spot-up shooter in college, not a post player like Gates or Gonzales where transferable skills like footwork, positioning, and hands are much more important.

Re: RECRUITING: Wimberly, Curtis, Meeks LOI's are in
Bibbs would be a huge get if he is the type of good receiving TE that can also shift back to FB. Teaming him up with Brun, our RBs, and the ability of SR and JB to run would give Mess a lot of options to be creative and negate the WR position.

Re: RECRUITING: Wimberly, Curtis, Meeks LOI's are in
Not sure how many people really know about him, but, Emmanuel was a High School WR that was signed by Iowa. He obviously went juco route. But, he's originally from Chicago, which if he's at ISU, his friends and family could come visit rather easily. Chicago to Norman is 13 hours....Chicago to Ames, 5:45 hrs....
Think this would be a very good recruiting win if we can keep him over a prestigious program....Whats the best fit for him and his game, i would say ISU....just not sold on current OC uses the TE at oklahoma and its not like they haven't had talent....
Good Luck E - Bibbs...hope you pick wisely....

I am excited to hear about Meeks in particular. When I saw the clones had a shot at him, I was pumped. I wish there was a fall signing period for football, but am glad to hear about the new Cyclones joining the team for spring ball.
