Re: DE Ernest Suttles not "All In"?
On Omaha sports radio yesterday, they had one of the husker site guys on and they all pretty much agreed that Suttles would commit on Sunday. They think it's in the bag.

Look at Brian Kelly. Probably sits in a kid's living room with their parents and tells them how he's going to be there for them for the next 4 or 5 years of their lives and that ND is his dream job and he would never think of leaving there.... and then the very next day he interviews with the Philadelphia Eagles. Now how does that kid feel about the meaning of the word "commitment"?
Seems like Rhoads is in a different league from just about every other coach because of his obvious personal commitment to the school. Wish he would be so "honest" when he talks about how "you never know what might happen." While true, I would like to see him do more to exploit the likelihood that he is here to stay. I think this could be a great advantage for him in recruiting.
Is there another coach in the Big 12 that is more believable when he sits in a living room and says that he intends to be there when the recruit graduates?

Rhoads should not have a problem with Suttles looking around if Rhoads is going to go talk to other kids that have already committed to other schools. How could he? Rhoads has stolen commits from other schools as well. All is fair nowadays folks. I'm not saying it's right or that I like it, but it's the way it is.
I wouldn't trust them, either. The nomadic ones have really made a mess of this, but I don't want some coach talking to me about commitment while looking for the next job at the same time.

Re: DE Ernest Suttles not "All In"?
I just spoke with Tampa (Fla.) Gaither Head Coach Jason Stokes and he said that Ernest Suttles had a great time on his Nebraska official visit, and he should be making a final decision in very short order.
"He said that it went awesome," Coach Stokes said Suttles commented about his time in Lincoln.
"He was impressed with the whole atmosphere, the players, the coaches, and the facilities."
Coach Stokes said that for the moment Stokes had not changed his verbal pledge to Iowa State, but that could change sometime today.
"After talking to him, right now he is wavering," Coach Stokes stated. "By the end of today, by tonight, or by tomorrow morning at the latest he is going to decide between Nebraska and Iowa State."
Coach Stokes said that Suttles had canceled his official visit to Kentucky for this upcoming weekend and he was no longer considering Missouri.
When asked what made Suttles a special player, Coach Stokes replied:
"His motor and that this is only his second year playing football. He's long, he has all the measurable and the attitude.
"He's only going to get better as he works on his game and attributes. The sky's the limit for him." -

It's not the comments that bother me as much as him canceling his other visits. I hope I can too :P

Re: DE Ernest Suttles not "All In"?
Being a lifelong Cyclone fan, I fully expect to be letdown by Mr. Suttles.
And he might just be the worst guy we could lose from this class IMO. Good size, length, motor, etc for a DE. Has all the signs of an up and coming pass rushing nightmare. So of course, we will lose him because we don't get great pass rushing DEs here. Not since Berryman anyway.

I don't know how anybody could play for Po Belinni, and I doubt they'll get to for much longer. He'll be gone soon.

Don't buy the false advertisement in Lincoln Mr. Suttles. You will be loved in Ames. You will be scrutinized in Lincoln.

Re: DE Ernest Suttles not "All In"?
The fact that he cancelled his Kentucky visit is concerning. Hopefully his commitment stays with the good guys.
Some of my buddies who are Husker fans seem convinced that he will be a Husker in the next day or so.
He will see the field faster here in Ames i believe, but as far as player development/program, its hard to argue against Nebraska. We really do need him in the near future though.
