14 * 5.00 = 70
14 + 70 = 84k
See, I can pick a random percentage out of my *** and do math too.
You know nothing about how many Cyclones will be there. JP has better knowledge than all of us. Is he inflating the numbers? Probably some, but not from 17.5k to 25k. Quit guessing on stuff that you have no idea about.

I'm all for it. Now we just need to get about 20,000 more on board.

I am not excited by the rematch. I was not excited about Memphis as a destination. I am sort of excited about being in a bowl with some decent TV coverage and a 40th anniversary of us playing there before is pretty cool. The Liberty Bowl has at least been around longer than all of these new bowls with no history at all. Getting more pumped as gameday approaches.

Just a bit of History...There were 24,000 Cyclone Fans in Atlanta GA for the 1977 Peach Bowl game, I know cause I was there and it was a veritable river of cardinal and gold in downtown atlanta.
Everything was great except we LOST the game to NC State's Johnny Davis and Ted Brown who were both exceptional football players.
It sure didnt help either when nc state off linemen held Mike Stensrud and Tom Randall all afternoon long and NOT one official ever thru a fricking flag.

I agree I'd rather see us playing a BCS opponent, but we didn't exactly dominate Tulsa in that first game. They took an early lead and were within a score until the Broomfield interception late. Jantz and Shontrelle played great, we had Knott, and were playing at home, so I won't be surprised if we get all we can handle Monday.

I think 50% is a safe number. Even on here in a poll as to where people bought tickets, that number was about 50% iirc, and this is a subset of the population more likely to buy through the AD as it is more likely to be donors and more likely to jump on the 'support the department'. With 50% youre looking at 20k, so right in that 21-25k estimate.
You make a point that pollard may know. Its not like the liberty bowl cant have a good idea of how many iowa state fans are ordering through them as well, they cant ID all of them, but those that have their mailing address in Iowa or ask to be on the ISU side give a pretty good indication. And if they know, pollard probably has been given that information.

I hope no ISU fan ordered tickets for the pinstripe bowl this year...

Re: Pollard: More Tickets Sold Than Any ISU Bowl Game!
Its fun its cheap thats the best kind of bowl for me. Hope ISU does not go to BCS games because I can't afford them :) haha
Re: Pollard: More Tickets Sold Than Any ISU Bowl Game!
Time to win the hearts and minds of the natives and we could have around 35k!

Tulsa is a BCS opponent, they are just not an AQ BCS team.

They are an FBS opponent. BCS opponent means they come from a BCS AQ conference.

Looks like I might be wrong, but I guess I was under the assumption that every school is a BCS school, just not an AQ BCS team.
Edit-
The media and others often mis-use this term. All 11 conferences in the Football Bowl Subdivision are "BCS Conferences."
So I'm right. Thanks
