Kansas = Tulsa... We beat KU by 30 without Jansen Watson, and lost Durrell Givens during the game. We have those to back now. We're fine. Disregarding an injury during practice or in the game were fine.
yes I realize that Shon Jon is out, but in the KU game, it was Jeff Woody who had the tremendous carries.
Pretty much the same excitement I had for West Illinois, however I'm still gonna watch cause I'm a fan.

take a look in the mirror, what exactly makes us so superior? our stunning 6-6 record? our 9th place finish in a conference with only 10 teams? or is it how we backed our way into a bowl game by losing at home to an unranked team?
I am predicting a win for the cyclones, but you sir sound like a hawk fan with your superiority complex. we were an average team this season. nothing more, nothing less. To say this Iowa State team is average is missing the big picture. ISU had what some consider the best defense in the Big XII. That isn't average. ISU had a safety that lead the nation in turnovers. That isn't average. ISU had an offensive line that never seemed to play to it's potential, QB's, RB's, and WR's that were inconsistent in their play but showed in several games exactly what they were capable of. It's difficult for an offense to be consistent when they are playing musical chairs at the QB spot. How many teams in the nation started 3 different QB's this season and had no injuries at that position? JB led the offense to a great showing in a win at TCU, SJ shredded Baylor in a big win, and SR picked Kansas apart in a blowout win.
No... this ISU team is anything but average. This is a team with above average talent that due to inconsistent play in particular on offense produced average to disappointing results. I think an argument could be made that the only game they played where they had no chance to win was the Texas game. The Okie State game and the OU game were 2 score games in the 4th qtr. Let's keep in mind in those 2 games the ISU QB play left A LOT to be desired but ISU was still in both games. Even decent QB play may have been enough to alter the outcome of those games. K-State game anyone??? Pretty much any season you can go back and say team X could have been 9-3 or 8-4 instead of 6-6 or 5-7. The problem is that it isn't always realistic. Well this year with ISU it is as real as it gets. Look at the QB play in the K-State, Okie State, Texas Tech, and Oklahoma games and ask yourself... With just marginal QB play could ISU have won those games? The answer is absolutely. West Virginia game... a dropped TD catch and a fumble inside the 5 away from sending that game to OT. That is not average.

I want to see a destruction today. Something that makes the number Sam did on Kansas look like a practice round.
A two touchdown win would be acceptable. I won't cry over winning a close game, but I want a dominant effort. I want people to say "That was the 9th place team? Dang."

Sure, beating a team twice is difficult, but we should do it, as we are the better team. they were better on the neutral field
hard to say we were definitively the better team this year
