Our current LB's ability to over run almost every single play is also very impressive. Campos and Curtis might need to play as true freshmen.

How many times do you see the quarterback staring down the end, as he gives it to the running back, who gets stopped at the line of scrimmage?
I think it really comes down to the offensive line. If you're leaving one guy unblocked to read off of, then you darn well better block all the other defenders ... especially since now you have a numerical advantage of blockers. Our O-line just can't do the job.
And the tackling today - criminey sakes, that's the worst tackling I've ever seen. Ever. In the history of football. Jevohn Miller, today you stunk. Did you see him whiff on the tackle on the long run Tulsa had in the third quarter? He played it right, filled the hole, then let the guy run right past him. And of course, the safeties were playing their coverage and couldn't back him up.
Block. And. Tackle. That's how you win football games. Fail to do both, and you will lose. That's the story, right there.

Eventually going 6-7 every year is going to hurt ticket sales and trying to sell recruits on Iowa State.

I get to wake up tomorrow and know Steele Jantz will never play a snap for ISU again!

Re: ***OFFICIAL: LIBERTY BOWL GAME(DAY) THREAD***
Defense has played its nuts off, giving up only 31 was actually a huge accomplishment given the complete lack of offense.

Jackson is the player of the game. He was a monster out there. Definitely the difference between the first meeting and the second.

Re: ***OFFICIAL: LIBERTY BOWL GAME(DAY) THREAD***
Packers lose yesterday than this happens today....fantastic. Tulsa looked bigger and tougher than us - which is ridiculous considering what I saw last September in Ames. Third straight losing season. Damnit.
