Something different than what we did. Anything involving misdirection, quick-slant, middle-screen, anything.
This sounds so simple. What is the explanation for the plays we did call? It is one thing to criticize them because they didn't work and another to see what they were intended to do but didn't perhaps because of failed execution like Curt said.
I think mostly they play X-box and stay up late. Participate in eating contests so they all feel like 10 pounds of **** in a 5 pound bag during the game.
Seriously, I get the vibe that CPR and the staff are just happy to be bowling and look at it as a reward for the kids, and don't really care too much win or lose the bowl game. I can't believe it is true, but I do get that impression.
We rarely ran any middle screens all season, which I was surprised by since we have such athletic running backs and teams are able to get good pressure on the QB.
Yep, this year I thought we would do more draws, slants and middle screens instead of the hum drum two second handoff on either side of the center. Bundrage or Brun would be a good guy for a slant. Guess our tall skinny oline needs to put on more butt muscle next year.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style.
