Re: ***OFFICIAL FIRE MESSINGHAM THREAD***
I'm concerned with our approach with our quarterbacks. It seems like all 3 guys (JB, SJ, SR) have followed the same progression of playing great for a few games, making a few mistakes, and having the wheels fall off after the few mistakes. This rotating door at quarterback has got to stop. Figure out which guy gives us the best chance to win and stick with him barring injury. It's getting real old having a new QB step in as a "shot in the arm" for a game or two, but then falling prey to the same fate as the preceding QB.
Also, the Oline is terrible.

Also, the Oline is terrible. Yeah, Rhoads is too quick at yanking QBs IMO. Bret Meyer agrees it seems. I hope Mess hasn't ruined Sam Richardson's career already? We shall see. He ruined Steele and JB pretty quickly.

Re: ***OFFICIAL FIRE MESSINGHAM THREAD***
A lot of you are talking about how Rhoads and Mess need to sit down this off season and talk through how to make the changes necessary to fix this. What do you think they are going to do this whole off season? Of course that will happen. Keep in mind too that you might not notice all the changes they implement. For an offense to be effective changes don't necessarily have to be in terms of a whole scheme, but possibly smaller changes that the average person won't see.
I too don't understand every decision that has been made offensively this season. A lot of options are out there for Rhoads and based on what he has done so far at ISU, I believe he will make a decision that is for the best.

Remind me what a freshman qb who started late in the season was expected to do with a offense that was anemic in all aspects all season? I think he's done pretty well considering.

Re: ***OFFICIAL FIRE MESSINGHAM THREAD***
We are Way beyond "small changes" when you average about 25pts a game, in a league that averages 40pts a game, were talking big changes. This offense needs a complete overhaul, anything less won't do.

We need a more efficient offense as much as we need to score 40 points per game. -
