On the same note I was amazed how cold all our players looked on the sidelines. They went through two cases of handwarmers the first half.[G
They may have gone through the handwarmers because those gloves make your hands sweat profusely and when they went to the sidelines that sweat was probably freezing inside their gloves. unfortunately they weren't sweating from catching so many balls, maybe Brun was but not anyone else.
If you take away first base, they'll just go find a new ballpark to play in. -

We don't really have a indoor practice facility, we have a old gym that has had turf put down on the basketball court, its like 30 yards long, its super ghetto.

That sounds amazing.

No question changes need to be made, but holy crap, reasonable explanations are not excuses I agree but then it falls to Rhoads to get him out of there if he's not 100%. Jantz or Barnett at 100% are probably better than SR at 60%.

Well, we saw Steele do what Steele does. That amazing turnover machine struck quickly and often.

Will miss his name but not his game.

Cool name, cool story, just couldn't put it all together.

I've seen this opinion a lot on here, but I think Steele was screwed from this start in this game. Lots of pressure to score and not a ton of time. I like SR more than Steele at equal strength but I think putting the healthy player in was a good call.
"He is the toughest I have ever been around, physically and mentally," Burnham said. "You can beat him down but you’re not going to beat him out. He’s got the mindset of, ‘If you’re going to get me out of this game, you’re going to have to kill me.’ That’s about where he is."

Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

Re: Richardson Sick
Here's what really ticks me off about Sam Richardson being sick for the game. If your QB is sick, doesn't that make you want to run the ball even more?
Here's what the pre-game meetings should have sounded like... "Ok guys... Sam is sick. He's going to give it a shot though. So here's what we're going to do.... WE ARE GOING TO RUN IT RIGHT DOWN THEIR MOTHER F***ING THROATS!!!!".
But yet, we get it absolutely pounded on us to the tune of 300+ yds rushing to our 98 yds. I just still don't get it, and probably never will? Why doesn't a Big 12 team just come out and impose it's will on the ground against a Conference USA school with 4,000 students? ESPECIALLY knowing your QB is sick.

We don't have road graders on the OL really at all at this point. This was much more of a finesse, pass protection group from what I can tell and coached to that strength. It's why you see using doing more outside zone than a lot of other teams. Ostensibly, that should mean that we're better in space and moving the pocket but it doesn't work when we can't make them pay with a hot read for blitzing a LB or flooding a zone. We couldn't seem to handle a straight pass rush versus a 4-3 much less when we had a LB walk-up blitz or an outside blitz from a S or CB. The better teams have been able to just exploit this in a nearly unprecedented manner. Our inability to pick these up with any consistency is just stupefying to me.

We are a soft, finesse, wimpy football team.... period. And it showed most of the year and definately in the bowl game. We were physically manhandled by Tulsa... and it wasn't even close. They looked bigger and stronger, and they were... on both sides of the ball. Pathetic.
