I got back to town last night and haven't had time to read any threads (this one included) yet, but I wanted to add this. I was staying in the same hotel as the team and after the game we got back from supper and Sam happened to catch the same elevator as we did from the lobby (we had just heard he was sick and someone had made the comment he shouldn't have started, I'm really hoping he didn't hear that). But he got on with a pizza he ordered and he had that look of someone who has just had that full night of worshiping porcelain and being cold/then hot/ then aches. Just flat out ready to drop exhausted. We got to his floor and he got off turned smiled and said thanks for coming out guys. That kids got some character. If he felt anything like he looked I don't think I would have been and after having gone through that game I'm not sure I'd have said a damn thing to anyone. I am more than excited to watch what he can do in the coming years and with Knott graduating I think I know who my new favorite player is. I know I'm basing that on a 6 floor elevator ride, but it said a lot to me.
