Will JP buy out the Tulsa game this Fall and give us another home game?

Wouldn't it be a key variable to consider whether teams already have 12 games scheduled? If a team has 12 already, they really aren't available without a monster financial package that probably doesn't exist, or takes away the profit of playing the game.

Well most, and I would assume all, have 12 games scheduled. So I'm back to my original question, if every fbs teams schedule is set, why would we drop this game. You can only count one fcs win per season, so it would be pointless to schedule another fcs school.

Interesting to hear that Kansas State and Oregon cancelled a home/home contract. If they had played this year, one of them might not be in a BCS bowl game!

We'd be happy to do that. Just come to Ames and play like you should have to. Out of curiosity, how many BCS teams have you had visit Tulsa over the last 4-5 years? I seem to recall OU playing you in Tulsa? Is that right?

Huh? Were you in a coma on Monday? The only reason they maybe "should" come to Ames is that we are fortunate enough to be playing in the Big 12 and we get lots of money for doing so and can afford to pay teams to come play us. It just doesn't sound quite right to talk smack to a team that just beat us badly on a neutral field.

Well, Dan, I would think so too. But I also thought the Cyclones would come out breathing fire, pumped up by the great Iowa State showing and playing in front of John Majors and some of the '72 Liberty Bowl Cyclones. Instead, they got b****-slapped and embarrassed by THE CANE.

Apart from this sentiment (which I agree with) there is precedent for B12 teams travelling to non AQ teams. It shouldn't be frequent and in ISU's case it isn't.
