Amazingly, it applies to both. That's why both politics and football are major passions of mine. Fortunately, only one of the two has a direct impact on my economic well being!

Your point was that its an excuse....who is using it as an excuse that actually matters when it comes to ISU football? Don't recall JP or PR ever saying it. Fans chide in with it more as a reason versus excuse.

We have had several better offenses in the last fifty years. I know we can do better on offense.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style.

Offense has been consistently poor every year of the Rhoads era. This year we blamed it on a QB competition that never really materialized into a bona fide starter. Last year we ran the ball just well enough to win some unexpected games. On whole the offense just hasn't been close to big 12 standards. Blame coaching, recruiting, scheme, whatever but no denying changes need to be made. I personally don't know what those changes need to be but will be disappointed if we go into next year all being the same.

I'm almost positive that is crap... NCAA and/or B12 dictate the admission requirements - not the individual schools. In fact for the student population overall ISU's SAT/ACT requirements are in the bottom half of the league. They may go heavy on JUCOs, but KSU is not the Nebby of old with a roster full of partial qualifiers.

Yet we must fire mess immediately because he is the problem. I disagree. We are at a huge talent disadvantage compared to the rest of the big 12 offensively.
If the offense has been garbage since 2002, that would make this year's ****.

Our offenses have not been bad or garbage forever. Points per game does not take into account efficiency, and that has been horrible in this offense. The talent disadvantage is another reason to change from this horribly schemed Mess, but tell me, is Tulsa in the Big 12? Is UNI? Rutgers?

CPR probably should have kept McFarland on his staff. His offenses were not great, but they were a lot better than what we have seen under CPR.

I feel the 2010 team that went 5-7 was better than this team, and would've won 1-3 more games over the course of this season....

Yes, it's hard to win in the Big 12. Yes, our offense is predictable, boring, and ineffective.

Many think we don't have the players, and it's because we are not in the urban or southern areas where all the talent hangs out. It does make it tougher, but Earle Bruce, who coached our offense to a #2 rating in the nation, had the same things to over come.

90% of our climb will be with the right coaching and play calling. We talk about recruiting, can we recruit the right OC?
Clone to the Bone with the up and coming IOWA STATE.

No it wasn't, I said it was both fact and an excuse. Reading must not be your strong suit.

Do you really think Rhoads neglected the offense even though he knows and has stated many times that to win in the Big 12 a top offense is needed. He has struggled on offense, he has not neglected or ignored it.

That team certainly had a better QB IMO. I believe that if Arnaud was our QB this season we would have upset K-State and beaten the likes of West Virginia and maybe even Oklahoma State and Texas. In saying that this years team had a better record with a harder schedule.

Based on what you saw yesterday, I understand you assumption, but frankly saying the 2010 team was overall better than the 2012 team is something you can't back up.

Didn't Earle Bruce also have three straight 4 win seasons before he had that success? Didn't he also come into a better situation than Rhoads did? I agree with some of your post, but you are comparing apples and oranges for the time being as far as Bruce's offensive success to Rhoads's is concerned.
