Bibbs ready to bring it next season!

I think Bibbs was a great recruit, but are we going to run two TE sets? The only guy on the offense I wouldn't set down after the end to last season was Ernst Brun. I like Bibbs, but I might RS him if I was Rhoads.

But with this, maybe we can keep a TE on the field at all times. Brun has to sit out sometimes on long drives. I could also see a double set from time to time.

Re: Bibbs ready to bring it next season!
Brun has shown his ability, and if Bibbs lives up to his hype then why not run a two TE set? I would welcome some sort of change on the Offense. I don't see CPR giving Bibbs a red shirt or even Bibbs committing to ISU to red shirt.
If you take away first base, they'll just go find a new ballpark to play in. -

Plus, if Bibbs is as good as advertised, then we can run more two TE sets and maybe have him replace some unproven WR's.

Re: Bibbs ready to bring it next season!
I've become a big Brun fan this season. IF Bibbs really is that good, it'd make sense to utilize both next year. I wouldn't see why a 2 TE set couldn't be possible.

I'm just happy to have him. We'll go from there. "Hey! I'm building something here!"

Nice!
Bibbs has the size and speed where you can split him out a lot or bring him in motion. Excited about the possibilities.

Rhoads talked about it on a Cyclones.tv interview......and how Bibbs would complement Brun. I have no idea if this is premium content or not........but here is a link to the interview. Re: Bibbs ready to bring it next season!
Could have used an extra guy on the line this year with the way the Oline was playing...

Re: Bibbs ready to bring it next season!
We need to win next year. Use him right away.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -
Re: Bibbs ready to bring it next season!
I'm a big fan of Brun. He brings a ton to the team in terms of big plays, enthusiasm, and leadership. However, he also makes mistakes. I forget the game, but he ran a wrong pattern, got the ball on the left sideline and punched it in for a TD. In the Liberty Bowl, he had the big TD catch, but he also turned the wrong way and wasn't able to catch a key pass downfield later in the game. If he tightens his game, I could see him developing into a team captain.

Re: Bibbs ready to bring it next season!
I expect to see Bibbs on the field next year, and both him and Brun on the field at the same time a lot, be it with both as tight ends or one lining up either in the slot or in the backfield. I also expect to see Wimberly playing next year even though we already have good running back depth. I think with our offensive struggles this year, Rhoads will be less likely to redshirt these two guys assuming they can contribute immediately.
