Snyder is just that good of a coach. K-State sucked before he got there the first time and sucked after he retired in the Ron Prince era. He retires and K-State returns to mediocrity.

Snyder is a damn good coach. But how many bowl games have they won in the last 10 years?

Well, you could look at Snyders overall body of work and conclude he is that good of a coach. The guys just knows how to take a few playmakers and make a great team out of them. He's a goddanm wizard out there. I don't think there's anyone who really knows how he does it. His teams, though, are always disciplined and make so few mistakes. I mean really, his whole team's philosophy is our defensive philosophy. Make teams make a bunch of really good plays concurrently. A lot of teams can't do that and that's why our defense has been good from a point standpoint and that's why his whole damn team has been good from a win standpoint. There's just a huge amount of discipline there.

Snyder can not only coach, but has been putting together teams for 20+ years at K-State. CPR will improve at both.

Top 10? Boy, I could make a strong case for number one. The only hangup I have is that we can't tell how he would do at a big time school with high expectations. You look at Nick Saban and he's done it everywhere. Urban Meyer has done it everywhere. There is a certain amount of BS you have to put up with at those schools. Nick Saban probably just tells guys to "**** off, I'm Saban and I will win so you have no leverage." Could Snyder handle that? I don't know. Rich Rodriguez couldn't. A lot of guys haven't been able to. As far as turning programs around, Snyder is measuring stick. He's done it twice.

Bill Snyder has been very successful with talent very similar to ISU. He knows exactly how to use and coach his kids. He, in my opinion, is the best coach of all time. Just imagine what he could do with Alabama talent.

I think Snyder takes a kid like Klein and wins 9-10 games with him (more this year). Where at ISU, probably still win 6 if we had him and he wouldn't of been anything special here. He can take a few players, use them the right way, get a lot out of them, shorten the game, and win a lot of games doing that.
