Re: Grant Rohach
If our line can find a way to protect the quarterback so he isn't running for his life all game, then I don't think it will really matter who wins the starting job.

Re: Grant Rohach
Now I've only been around this board for 6 years or so, but from what I hear he's going to throw for 4,000 yards and be the #1 draft pick after his first season.

He is missing the wide open receivers and throwing into double and triple coverage over and over! Maybe he's doing it because he knows that the open receivers can't catch, but those passes he's throwing are way risky. Anyone can grow and I think he can be coached up to the next level, but he may need to stand on the sideline for a year and learn!

Re: Grant Rohach
I think it's Richardson's job to lose.
I'd like to have a clear number one after spring ball, but my gut says that's not going to happen.

No one has been crucified by CF in nearly 2000 years.

I'm thinking more crucifixions are in order!

This will without question happen. Steele Jantz and Jared Barnett played three of the best games in the history of ISU football in the last two years (Iowa, Baylor, OSU) and Hitler is more popular on this board than either of those guys.

ISU QB production in Big 12 play.
vs TT Jantz 10-20 50% 73 yards
vsTCU Barnett 12-21 57% 183 yards
vsKSU Barnett 16-36 44% 166 yards
vsOSU Barnett 19-39 48% 206 yards
vsBaylor Jantz 36-52 69% 381 yards
vsOU Jantz 20-40 50% 191 yards
vsTexas Jantz 15-29 50% 133 yards
vsKU SR 23-27 85% 250 yards
vsWVU SR 13-31 41% 162 yards
vsTulsa SR 10-21 47% 129 yards
Either we find a QB... or just schedule Baylor and KU for all our games. You screwed up by not including the non-conference games. When including Tulsa, Iowa, and WIU, the obvious conclusion is that we needed to start a different quarterback for each game. Every QB followed up his outstanding first start with a mediocre second start. If we had just rotated our QBs throughout the season, we would have been throwing for about 280 yards and 70% every game, and would have gone 12-0. We'd be waiting right now for our matchup with Notre Dame on Monday.

Although we also have poor line play. If he truly struggles throwing interceptions and can't run the zone read effectively (both the run/run and the run/pass options) I'm kind of afraid he will turn into another Jantz. Although unlike Jantz Rohach will come directly into the program and have more time to learn the playbook and development under the same staff.
