Interesting suggestion. Fountain is currently Director of Football Operations and is trying to keep Auburn's 2013 recruiting class together. He was the OL coach for Georgia Southern before arriving in Ames.

It looks like Malzahn is going to keep him on. I don't see him leaving there for here. Could be wrong though and that would be a great hire.
Re: Predicting Coaching Staff
Someone asked this before, but is Rhoads in Nashville this week?

OL - Bliel, but, if he cannot improve the line this year, i would put him on notice he gone. We've had talented enough players that by now we should have a line thats better then what they showed this year.
QB - Sturdy
RB - Pope
WR - Campbell - ex EIU WR coach, i think he would be a fabulous hire and a great recruiter!
TE - Mess
I think our offense was most efficient and productive when our tempo was faster...i think the qb is reacting more and thinking less and the implementation of a true WR coach would greatly enhance the product on the field..
I do like Campbell, great recruiter and coached Wr at michigan for 13 years before going to Iowa and coaching Mcnutt to the NFl and DJK before he began his trip to the darkside....
I truly hope that CPR is not satisfied with our offense and makes changes. If not, unlike me as a armchair quarterback, his job is on the line year in and year out....he knows his offense has to improve or ultimately he will begin to lose favor with the fan base....
It will be interesting to see how it shakes out....
Erik Campbell should be still available. I believe someone posted he was interviewing with EMU for OC but today's update is:

Someone also believes he interviewed for Tampa Bay coaching WR.

Bring Todd Fitch back from USF for QB coach. (I really want a good teacher w/ OC exp. in this position)
Keep Sturdy at WR and Pass Coord.
* this won't happen but I am ready for some solid teaching at the QB position. Fitch is a good teacher of footwork and mechanics. Something missing since he left IMO. (Pederson was okay for Chiz and TH was okay as well)
Word is Todd Fitch will join the Boston College staff under Steve Addazio.
Also, former Iowa wide receivers coach Erik Campbell has interviewed with Missouri. BUT, former Kentucky wide receivers coach Pat Washington has emerged as a candidate for the Missouri receivers job, according to the Columbia Daily Tribune.
Re: Predicting Coaching Staff
Any rumors or indications who has interviewed to replace Wells? The Asst. Football coach opening is still posted on the website (although it probably needs to be posted for two weeks).
On Todd Fitch:
'Boston College announced Tuesday[1/15/13] that it has hired Todd Fitch to coach receivers and retained assistant Al Washington, who will now coach the running backs.
Fitch spent the last three seasons as offensive coordinator at USF. Before that, Fitch spent three seasons as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at East Carolina.
“Todd is a guy I’ve known a long time,” coach Steve Addazio said in a statement. “He’s been a coordinator at USF, he’s been a coordinator at East Carolina. He’s been a wide receivers coach, quarterbacks coach at South Carolina. He’s been at Iowa State with Dan McCarney. He has coached with and worked with guys that I am very good friends with. He’s got a tremendous depth of knowledge in the throw game. He’s been involved in a lot of similar philosophies that I’ve been involved with. We both have a broad-based background. He’ll be tremendous addition to our offensive staff and have a great emphasis on the throw game with Ryan [Day].” '
Re: Predicting Coaching Staff
Does anyone know when the 2 week job posting is up? It seems like we should be close to that date. I thought CPR did a great job last year with Sturdy and Douglass. Hopefully he can bring in someone of their caliber on this hire.

For those suggesting Scott Frost ...
"According to USA Today's George Schroeder, Oregon has promoted offensive coordinator Mark Helfrich to head coach. The Register-Guard is reporting that wide receivers coach Scott Frost is expected to receive a promotion to offensive coordinator."

There goes everyones hope that thought there was a chance that ISU had a chance to land Frost as an OC. Or should I say wish for him to come here.
