Re: Starting 22 for opener next season...maybe a couple of surprises?
I enjoyed the back to back posts by demoncore and Rhoadhoused. One says Oline is gonna suck, the next says it should be a strength. Sounds about right though.
Re: Starting 22 for opener next season...maybe a couple of surprises?
If Dika is healthy, he will start at RG.
Re: Starting 22 for opener next season...maybe a couple of surprises?
Geez...I sure hope the defense isn't as bad as some are saying/predicting! I didn't expect going into Year 5 would have us making those kinds of posts! Not trying to be a jerk when saying that...just hope we are stronger than some are suggesting!
Re: Starting 22 for opener next season...maybe a couple of surprises?
We need the two TE set more often with those two.

And holy crap is that a terrible defense on paper.
We have said this since day 1 under Rhoads and the defenses have always kept us in games.

WR: Bundrage
WR: Daley
WR: Q.West
RB: Wimberly
QB: Richardson
TE: Brun
LT: Gannon
LG: Tuftee
C: Farniok
RG: Dika
RT: Lichtenburg
DE: Irving
DT: B. Jensen
NG: Pompey
DE: C. Morrisey
HYB: Broomfield
MLB: D. White
OLB: J. George
CB: Watson
FS: Washington
SS: C. Rogers
CB: Lynn
Here is mine. I like Lynn alot, he has all the tools and good size relative to some of our past CB. I am slotting in Rogers ahead of Mutcherson, as I think Mutcherson could be better suited as our third CB. Like Quan West, and think he needs to see the field. Also don't see any way Jensen doesn't start next year. Morrisey is more of a long-shot. I am hoping he is in beast mode next season. Scott will play alot though. Wimberley is the same. We need someone dynamic at that spot, and based on what I have seen he is the only one with a chance.
I also think there is a LB that has been forgotten, and his name is Darius White. The kid looked ready to play as a true freshman, at 233, and he was a stacked. He was a 4 year starter on oneof the best teams in Flordia in HS, which is unheard of. His film looks great, he looks the part. If he can keep his academics in order I think he starts.

We are starting to get some perspective on how special Knott and Klein really were. We can no longer take for granted that we will have tough, smart play from our LBs.
Re: Starting 22 for opener next season...maybe a couple of surprises?
The problem with having Brun on the field in running situations is he is the most awful blocking tight end in the conference.
And the front 7 of the defense next year is just plain terrible. There isn't a single guy who opposing teams even have to worry about.

K: Cole NettenBiggest question...... Who is the new holder!?!?????!! No more Bueker :(
I really want a shake up here in the 2-deep, Quan West, Daley, Harris and Ecby all need to push, I think Bundrage can be a future All-Big12 if he stays healthy and we get the QB that can throw accurately (Richardson, Rohach)....
thank God Aaron Horne is graduating, him C Young and Gary were majority of the drops this year.....

Either J. West or Gary will start. None of Daley, Q. West or Bundrage are true slot receivers.
I doubt Charles Rogers starts at SS considering he's been playing corner. Mutcherson won't be the third CB because he's been playing safety.
Willie Scott will start.

Who is? Both are safeties or will be.

Everything I have read he is likely a safety. Who knows at this point.
