You can drive a truck between the team benches and the stands. Huh? Doesn't seem very far to me. Nothing like Yankee Stadium (which made up for it in the positioning of the upper decks). Maybe not as close as Kinnick, but I wouldn't call this "far." In fact, probably only the first few rows can tell the difference. It is the pitch of the incline, not the closeness of the front row that is the biggest difference.
