does jack t stadium suck for game viewing?

I think it would be much better for both viewing a game and generating home field advantage to have the stands closer to the field than what we have at JTS. KU gets knocked around here a lot for the track, but even without that it is a long way from the front row of seats at JTS to the sideline. You can drive a truck between the team benches and the stands. Compare it to places like Okie Lite or iowa where you can reach out from your front row seat and slap a player on the back as he sits on the bench. Hope we at least improve this in the SEZ when it gets done.

Huh? Doesn't seem very far to me. Nothing like Yankee Stadium (which made up for it in the positioning of the upper decks). Maybe not as close as Kinnick, but I wouldn't call this "far." In fact, probably only the first few rows can tell the difference. It is the pitch of the incline, not the closeness of the front row that is the biggest difference.
