I'm sure someone could (and will) correct me if I'm wrong, but I think if he had no pro career to look forward to there would have been a chance he played in the bowl game. Since he has a future in football, it was better to let him heal and not risk it.

Knott training in Ames with Yancy and CO is a huge chance to put ISU in the spotlight if he tests well. The coverage that the combine has gotten recently is a bonus. Potential recruits will be watching!
