Re: Logue on Twitter states Barnett and Morgan are leaving.
im bummed. I really like JB. Always great to have an experienced back up and I was not convinced he wouldn't be getting the starting nod. Great change of pace qb.

Re: Logue on Twitter states Barnett and Morgan are leaving.
its like the curse of big wins: Tiller at Nebraska and never really plays qb again. Arnaud at Texas and blows out his knee. Barnett over OSU and TCU and then gets benched. One can argue that our best team performances have been with Barnett at the helm

Re: Logue on Twitter states Barnett and Morgan are leaving.
Losing JB is huge IMO. We all have some pie in the sky notion that the QBs in the wings are great, but JB showed consistent maturity ... and by the way led ISU to many key wins including the biggest in history. Its our system and coaching that is screwing these QBs. Don't be surprised when, come Nov next year, you're wishing we still had JB.
Otherwise, best of luck to two great Cyclones. Originally Posted by clone136 im bummed. I really like JB. Always great to have an experienced back up and I was not convinced he wouldn't be getting the starting nod. Great change of pace qb. -

Re: Logue on Twitter states Barnett and Morgan are leaving.
Hope the best for JB. Seems to have that inner drive to play that just can't be held down. Not unlike Knott playing the extra game against Baylor.
In both cases, I hope that it doesn't affect their professional futures. For JB, he may get to play a little extra football, but he seemed like the kind of guy who would end up in coaching. If so, I would think that he could position himself well for that by remaining with us. However, the dream to shine again as a star for a whole season has got to be pretty compelling to him.

Re: Logue on Twitter states Barnett and Morgan are leaving.
I'm going to miss Barnett. Class act and he will always be a Cyclone. Obviously the OSU game was amazing, but my favorite game of this past year was the TCU game. He played his heart out in that game and I hope he lands at a school where he can be the starter.
Wherever he lands, I will be following them. Thanks for all of the memories!

Morgan leaving hurts this team more in my opinion

. Have tons of respect for JB, but this wont happen.

Re: Logue on Twitter states Barnett and Morgan are leaving.
JB was a stud but I'm going to call YOU ALL out and be a devil's advocate. How is this different than Suttles or KJ Young not being "All In"? I thought you all wanted 100% participation no matter what.
Best of luck JB!

Re: Logue on Twitter states Barnett and Morgan are leaving.
Not surprising. It really puzzled me that JB couldn't seize the QB spot after finishing the 2011 season as the starter (notwithstanding getting yanked from the Pinstripe Bowl).
But he's been a good Cyclone and deserves to find a situation that works for him. He'll never pay for a drink in Ames, Iowa ever again.

Otherwise, best of luck to two great Cyclones. Reality is he or Jantz are not Big 12 quarterbacks, both were out performed by freshman this season. I dont think it takes a rocket scientist to see that.

Oh gosh our chances for huge wins just dropped drastically.

He had shine games but why did he not build any consistency to grab the starting spot? When he did come out in games he looked lost. He was in a rut.
