You're blaming it all on the scheme and coaching. Some of the rest of us recognize that talent level, dropped passes, poor blocking, and a host of other things factor in as well--including having your quarterback throwing balls into the ground.
Good luck to both players. Thanks for the memories!

We need an OC and quarterback coach that can teach quick read progressions and stay out of the QBs head.

It strikes me that so long as some make excuses for the coaching, others must continue to point out its shortcomings. That said, if you want me to stop, Aclone, then who am I to keep going?? Re: Logue on Twitter states Barnett and Morgan are leaving.
this is all so Greg-McDermont-esque. I do not like a revolving door. You could probably accept this if we didn't freaking lose to West Virginia and Tulsa. Something stinks. Jared was a good Cyclone.....should have got minutes in the bowl game.
I am not a Bielima fan, but I want Rhoads to show me he is here to win and not just play hard.

We need an OC and quarterback coach that can teach quick read progressions and stay out of the QBs head. BINGO! correct answer. This team often seems over-coached. Watch our corners and defensive backs.....it is like they are brow-beat to "not get beat" so much they have lost all intuitiveness and common sense. How many times do we see third and 8 with our defense and they give a 10 buffer and then let the guy run a 9 yard route and are still 5 or 6 yards from the guy when he catches it. It should not be freaking rocket science to cover a reciever or run a rushing play for 1 yard, yet it is so painful to watch this team do anything like this. they are just running a scheme as they have been over-coached and they are not playing ball. Play Ball!
post ******: The bowl game pick 6 was excellent. right time and place for that.....need more of that.

BTW, both appear to have done everything correct in representing ISU and themselves. The program will miss having them both on and off the field. Right, they are renewed yearly. Does this give us one or two more?
On topic- I wish Barnett had stayed, selfishly. He likely wouldn't have played much next year but we are only two plays away from burning a redshirt and playing a true freshman. It would be nice to have that third guy, not to mention his experience and assistance in coaching up the young guys.
Morgan is a big loss that I think people are understating. We were already thin at LB, which he would have been big enough to play full time and he would have allowed the flexibility for Broomfield to go to safety if that was a better option. Now you have to replace two very important players on the defense (LB, SS). I think this is why Broomfield alluded to gaining weight. When you remove Morgan you simply remove a bunch of different options and instead of having to find one guy from a pool of two positions, you now likely have to find a guy from one. I wish him well but I really thought at some point he was going to be pretty damn good.

Do you know why I put up with this 'pitiful job', Mr. Donaghy, why I fetch these folks' lunches and clean up their barfs? Cause they make television. And more then jazz, or musical theater, or morbid obesity, television is the true American artform. -

But, they obtained their two goals to beat Iowa and play in a bowl....all that is needed to be successful at I St." Is he wrong? Jared had enough tools to succeed and be a good QB here, as did Steele. Both showed that the ability was indeed present. One could argue, that they were not developed as well as they could have been.
