Football is ALL about the QB. That is the one position that can make or break you the fastest more than any other single position.

If CPR can find that guy, we get into that 8,9+ win category. We need Sam or Grant to be that guy. Like Steele, Grant has the most potential. Luckily, this time he's only a freshman so there is room to grow and be wasn't just thrown into the fire year one without knowing the offense.

Don't make it seem like Tulsa is obviously a way better program than ISU. They may have had the more publicized win, but it's not like we had no chance against them.

I'm sorry but we were beat in every part of that football game, and handily. Tulsa should absolutely never dominate us running the football like that. That's unacceptable. The offense, well, everyone knows about that but I was most disappointed in the defense.

Wow. He wouldn't have stuck around anyway. Judging from what I have heard, that attitude doesn't stick around very long.

This also was from twitter so it may have just been something saying he is motivated to get on the field quick.

What, you mean a 175 lb, 2* freshman corner wouldn't thrive lining up across from guys like Terrance Williams, Stedman Bailey, Tavon Austin, Kenny Stills, Tevin Reese, Tyler Lockett, etc.?

I know it delays it another year but Hodge is that guy. Mark my words.

How do you know he wouldn't thrive? Have you seen anything other than his highlight reel, if even that?

You know why several of ISU's, as well as other BCS conference schools', players from Texas have 2*? Because there are 160,000 HS players in Texas alone, to evaluate. I've said it before and I'll say it again. And I'm generalizing when I say this, but I would more often than not take a 2* football player from Texas than a 3* from almost anywhere other than Fla, GA, LA, OH and perhaps a couple other states.

I've seen Barnes play and I would take him over some area DBs that are going to Texas, Oklahoma State, Baylor. These are mid 3 star guys who were fortunate enough to get noticed early in HS and were tracked throughout.

Not quite sure why so many posters seem so butt hurt over his de-commit. He has an opportunity to play close to home, for a program that is pretty good and play sooner rather than later. He is a kid and until you go through the recruiting process yourself or have a kid go through the process, you don't **** about it...that I can guarantee. Cut the kid some slack and wish him well wherever he ends up.

i really like what i have seen of hodge on film and everything. seems to have nice touch on his passes and pretty good arm strength and good running skills. i hope (and i'm sure this will be the case) that he redshirts this year

You mean a QB that will be redshirting is going to lead us to the promised land? Well thank god we're in good hands, because that's worked so well for us in the past.
