Sucks but these are the breaks of being ISU. Your recruits have multiple reasons to pick worse programs than ISU, and there are few BCS programs worse.

I thought this guy may be good. Parts of Cali are still under recruited compared to much of the country.

Well, at least this staff continues to show they know how to evaluate.

Suttles is the only one that has me bummed. GD he was what we desperately needed.

when we "filled" our class a month ago i though to self....self, only bad things are coming in the month of January for this recruiting class. we can only be poached at this point, not the other way around".

hopefully cpr has some recruits on the back burner and was anticipating some fallout/deflections. real bummer. guess i can't blame a recruit. take an offer and wait for a better one. why wouldn't you? coaches leave schools in a heartbeat and play the system. why shouldn't recruits?

this one doesnt hurt quite so bad since we still have a good amount of o-lineman commited, as long as the rest of them stay with us

Evidently he wanted to play a bit closer to home in a weaker conference. No prob. Better that these guys change their mind before signing day if they are not "All In" IMO.

The positive about all this is that other schools actually "want" our recruits. When all is said and done, we will have a good solid class that fills a lot of needs and has some good potential.

That lousy bowl performance did not help us at all when recruits make these decisions. You think he "wants to be closer to home" if he committed to not Bama or A&M, but even Florida State, Texas, or Louisville?

Think this may be more of a function of us gaining Campos. You have to ask yourself, would you rather we kept Johnson & not had Campos, or have what happened occur. V Johnson was able to find a D-1 school in his homestate so he switched. Campos did the same thing in changing to us. This we should all be able to accept.

I will take a Campos, Curtis, Homa, Severs, & Glenn OL class all day, any day.

Football needs an early signing period like basketball has. The way it stands now guys will commit early to the BCS school that is after them. Then if they blow up during the season they just end up signing to whatever other school they would rather go to.
