A few of you on here have asked about my avatar, so here's the file. Just an amateur Photoshop job. I am no expert, so don't ask me to create some new version with chrome and sparkles because I don't have the skills.

I don't pay much attention to jerseys or helmets, but it seems like most schools either A) keep the same uniform forever (Alabama, Texas, etc.), or B) change it all the damned time (Oregon, Baylor, etc.). We, on the other hand, seem to come up with something different every 4-5 years.
I don't give a **** what we do as long as it gets recruits, keeps the players happy, and makes people say "that's Iowa State" when they see us on TV.

Too bad most of them say "that's USC" before they figure it out.

Some dude who says he is a hack at photoshop can come up with a helmet that puts the current one bought for how much? and puts it to shame. Love that helmet.
Well thats your opinion. Obviously our current helmet is perfectly fine with the players, coaches, and AD.
Plus, there's no way the AD is going to re-introduce a logo from a (*ahem*) stormy era in ISU football history.
The current uniform design loosely mimics the Bruce years ... a gold helmet with stripes is the only thing lacking (and a good share of CF fan base, at least, hates the yellow idea. Although I'm not among them).
FWIW, I heard from a friend that the football team is getting new uniforms designed for next year. Anybody hear anything about this too?
