We went after him late, but its hard to compete with Oklahoma, although we did keep Bibbs from going to the Sooners

Re: Trevor Hodge - Senior Highlights
His high school tape looks better than both Rohach and Richardson IMO. So I guess we have to wait one more year for our savior at quarterback.

Re: Trevor Hodge - Senior Highlights
KJ Young looked really good. That kid catches everything. Trevor Hodge looks to have the tools to be a good QB.

Re: Trevor Hodge - Senior Highlights
He looks like a playmaker. That is what we need.

Re: Trevor Hodge - Senior Highlights
I liked the square in with the deep corner route behind it from the inside receiver. looked like an easy read for the qb to pick from either of the two receivers.

That's just what these are tho, highlight films. Where highlight films do show what the athlete is capable of, they do not show the boneheaded plays they make, it does not mean they will make these outstanding plays all day every day, and we don't know what kind of competition he's making these awesome plays against. The speed difference from the high school level to the college level is ridiculous and that's one thing Rohach and Richardson have going for them that Hodge doesn't, they're already getting acclimated to the speed of the game. So yeah, highlight films are great to see what they're capable of, but take them with a grain of salt.

Re: Trevor Hodge - Senior Highlights
Your advice to take highlights with a grain of salt is always true. However, with these Hudl highlights, you can skip the "Senior Highlights" and go down and watch all of TH's single game highlights. I would recommend doing this. There are alot more plays to watch that way. The viewer can see what types of throws TH can make. How well he scans the field. Is he able to put the ball into a tight window.
Another way to gauge whether highlights are representative, or not, is to pair them up with stats. Trevor Hodge completed 66% of his passes, for 2934 yards, had 259 attempts, with only 5 interceptions. He rushed for nearly 1400 yards. There are four future D1 players on his team. The division Citrus Hill plays in puts a fairly large number of D! players. His high school has an enrollment of approximately 2500 students. Trevor Hodge was recently named third team California All-State.
I think that video, combined with his stats, do warrant classifying Trevor Hodge as a high school QB with very good potential to do well in college.

Re: Trevor Hodge - Senior Highlights
I notice that their offense is almost exclusively out of the pistol formation. Me likey!
