    RECRUITING: Three left on the big board

    According to what I've been able to gather, only three men are left on Iowa State's big board as National Signing Day approaches. Those men are:

    Johnny Holton - Yahoo! Sports

    Robert Garcia - Yahoo! Sports

    Davarez Bryant - Yahoo! Sports

    I really like Iowa State's chance with Garcia. The others are more toss-ups IMO...Stay tuned. At least we know there will be a little drama tomorrow.

    Bryant apparently will choose between FSU and ISU. Not loving our chances there, but playing earlier could make a difference. Would be a big deal to beat both Miami and FSU for Florida recruits in the last week.

    I see we have offered Holton and Garcia. Do we have two schollies left? Or how does that work if we only have one - first one to fax in their NLI?

    I think we have room for all of them plus Glenn moving to a 2013 recruit. I'm not positive though. I think the staff has to feel good about Holton, otherwise I feel they would have offered D'Marcus RHodes. It's been evident they are looking to replace Daniels.

    I think one more name will be in the mix to fill out the class: Jerry Haymon, S, Visalia, (Calif.) College of the Sequoias

    The other schools offering these guys is a very good indicator: (1) these are very good players - not 'fall backs', and (2) our staff has a very good eye for talent.

    Wiscy, Cincinnati, Kansas; Boston College, Air Force, Navy, South Florida; Florida State & Purdue

    Haymon has Texas Tech & Fresno State offers

    Looks to be an exciting day. Madison committing beforehand has me pumped. In combination with at least a couple of these guys and this year's class looks to be very solid.

    I would love to see both of them. Heard anything about Holton. I have heard he didn't actually have a Wisky offer and he did have the Wisky offer. We were his best visit so I guess I just expected him to commit here.
