nobody is saying that at all, but overly dismissive/negative comments about recruits by people who have no information other than a highlight video and a rivals profile are simply not needed.

If you don't want to know or read people's opinions, don't come to a ******* message board. Until we go undefeated and win the championship, or staff and players won't be perfect. If you can't handle the truth, don't read it. Forums are all about opinions, good and bad. That's what talking sports is all about. If all you want are facts, don't click the little forums button.

i dont mind if someone wants to say this guy has certain strengths and certain weakneess or things to work on, but too many people just hammer kids on the weaknesses repeatedly for no reason...it's stupid to criticize recruits unconstructively..but people arent going to stop doing it either, mostly because there are a lot of stupid people out there

I think the 2 sides of this argument are kind of saying the same thing.

So far from what I've read, we all agree that nothing good comes from personally bashing a recruit & saying things like we don't want him at our school.

I would think most of us also agree that it is acceptable to impartially discuss attributes like speed, size, etc. We don't always have to act like a recruit is the next Jerry Rice or Dan Marino to agree that we would love to have him at ISU.
