We need to find another punter, and soon.

Wow, that really puts into perspective how young we are in general, especially at QB, WR, DT and LB.
On defense, there are 20 So, Jr & Sr and 21 Freshman.
Also, Arceo isn't on a scholly yet? He's getting robbed!

Re: NEW scholarship chart (2-11-13)
how many total scholarships do we get? 85?
Nevermind, are we gonna fill it with sleeper who didn't sign yet or give it to Arceo?

If you take away first base, they'll just go find a new ballpark to play in. -

Wow that's a lot of youth

QB makes me very nervous. Based on the fact that the QB is a significant part of our running scheme, having only 2 QBs that are not true freshmen could be a recipe for disaster.

I'm pretty sure that two of Rhoads's four years we have only had two scholarship QB's that were not true Freshmen.

Re: NEW scholarship chart (2-11-13)
What's good about the youth movement is all of the 2012 class was red-shirted and probably most of the 2013 will be red-shirted. This is how you build a program so that the kids taking the field have the extra development time to adjust to B12 Div I FB.
Will most likely see some growing pains due to this over the next few years however.

Re: NEW scholarship chart (2-11-13)
I am just excited for 2015-2017. With another good recruiting class this year anchored by Lazard we have a true pipeline taking shape. Next year will likely be a step back before we start taking a series of steps forward for the forseable future. I feel like a solid foundation is done now we get to watch Rhoads build this program!

Oh, but the meltdown with any "step back" will certainly be epic.

Progress is almost never perfectly linear in anything whether sports, politics, business, or life and because of that there is usually a difficult patch for those that stick around long enough to really build something. I will be happy with strong player development for next year and improve, ent through the season regardless of wins next year.

I am with you on this. We may have a sub par year or two but 2015-17 could very well be special years.

Wow what a young team next year.
