Perhaps the NCAA is trying to protect itself from an appeal/lawsuit by BSU. If the NCAA singled out BSU for blue, you can probably guarantee that BSU would raise the argument of green uniforms on a green field in their appeal/lawsuit.

I heard that when the SEZ is built; the field will be replaced with gold field turf. We would also change our home uniforms to all gold uniforms with white helmets.
