    When the MWC banned it the issue was that it was hard for the coaches to pick out players when watching film, not that it was an advantage during the game. I'm surprised this rule would affect teams that are green as well, I've never heard anyone complain about that.

    They just need to eliminate the Smurf Turf. I can not watch a game played on that field.

    This. Why don't they just make a rule that the color of the field must be as close to natural grass as possible and give them a few years to comply since some expense would be involved.
