So we'll have Iowa and then a short week for @tulsa.
Too bad we didnt buy out of this game so we could have another home game. Our september schedule sucks for fans.

VERY disappointed we are playing this game (and I was of the opinion before the bowl game so it isn't just sour grapes)

Also note that there is no open date during the conference season.

is tulsa any good? haven't heard much about them. only 3,500 student there so probably a pretty weak football team.

CPR has repeatedly said he doesn't like the disruption of an open date in the middle of the conference season, but it sure seems like it can be handy for getting healthy.

Half of ISU's 6 home games this year are October 26 or later. Glad I got a nice warm Cyclone winter hat dirt cheap on clearance at Dogtown this year.

Now we get extra time before the next game too.
Yay optimism!

Yeah, part of me just wonders if he says that because he doesn't want it to be an excuse. Turning a negative into a positive type thing.
I would sure think it would be a positive to get healthy and regroup and finish the season strong. It's not like we've been parlaying the momentum into wins late in the season with not having the bye. For some reason it feels like our teams are pretty well gassed by the last few games from the grind of that Big12 schedule.
