"i was so high on him....but even if we hold a schollie for him, and he makes grades are we only kidding ourselves if we think hes going to make it for two years if he couldnt do it at a juco, as an athlete........"

had you ever seen him play in person? Seen more than a few highlight tapes? Met him to know his character?

Just wondering why you were so high on him. It certainly couldnt be because of his 3 stars and 5.6 rating, 4.4 listed speed, and catches and yardage. Because that would be foolish :)

No if you have read my comments and watched his recruiting video it showed a guy unlike any we had in uniform last year...the guy was a great blocker, caught balls in his area that he should not have caught and had the speed to compete at the level in which we compete....I have never spoken of his character, his off field antics or anything to the sort, nor can anyone here....

But, when you've already lost a full ride schollie because of grades get a second chance at a juco have success and then again get a bigger second chance at a Div 1 school and you screw it up, i just cannot understand the lack of focus and attention that he must have had to let his grades slip....were talking 2.0 at JUCO are you kiddin me.............

75% of the recievers on Rivals have sick highlight videos.

Agreed. You have to try harder to not pass Juco than to pass

And your right, thats why it is a highlight video...i get it...

But, some of those catches were just awesome...if you had seen my posts all of fall, i already him lining up across from Hamilton with whoever maybe even Carlson in the slot...i just thought from the tapes that Graham looked like a special athlete and i was extremely excited to have him on our squad. Thats all gone because he couldnt make 2.0............brutal.....and you know what, as much as any cyclone is disappointed, he probably realizes we were his last shot at major div 1 ball, so for him, i know it hurts a lot more then it will any of us....i wish him well, i only wish we could have all been hyped about him signing his LOI today.....oh well.........

Zero stars simply means Rivals hasn't rated them yet. It doesn't mean they aren't even worth a star.

he still does make the point that no one else has offered a few of these kids. i would be lying if i said i wasn't worried about this class right now. someone else said that we only know about 3% of what is going on with the recruiting, and i think they may be right, but that isn't comforting me right now. this class is looking more and more like the classes of the past. i know chizik and co are out there working their tails off right now, i just wish it would start to pay some bigger dividends. if they could just land 1 or 2 "big" recruits, i think a few other decent players would follow suit. it will be an interesting couple of months to signing day.

Class is pretty similar to the level Mccarney got, except we aren't losing multiple recruits to non-BCS schools like in years past. Mccarney often got us to bowl games with classes ranked at or near the bottom of the Big 12. We will always need to find some diamonds in the rough at Iowa State, I actually really like the way this Hammersmidt kid sounds.

Have faith my man. Looks like this regime (Pollard and Co.) likes to pull surprises on people. Call me foolishly optimistic or whatever, but I still think that there are guys that we don't know about yet that Chizik is after and he'll pull a few of those out later on. Take Leonard Johnson for expample. At one point, he was really close to committing to ISU. How is it that we haven't anything about him lately?

Ah, but can a 5th grader do that while getting hammered every night, running on 3 hours sleep and playing with a different coed every night? I say no. At least, that's not my memory of 5th grade.
