    Best All-Time Runningbacks

I found the thread on top ISU QBs interesting. I think it would be interesting to do that at other positions as well. Running back is pretty easy at the top with Troy Davis. Who comes after that? Blaise Bryant, Dwayne Crutchfield, Dexter Green, ...

Ennis was pretty damn good, might not have had the big name, but he did everything asked of him, and was one of the big reasons ISU was a success in the early aughts.

Koch! Good thing we "saved him" for 3 years and 3 months ... so he wasn't worn down by all those carrries.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

He was a great blocker, but the extreme amount of hype about him did not bid him well when he got on the field. He just didn't know what it meant to hit the holes in the line hard.

The first spot was so easy that everyone quickly moved onto number two. Back to TROY!! What a freaking stud. Every school knew he was our only major offensive weapon at the time and he still through up insane numbers. I also liked the fact that he credited his wrestling background for alot of his football skills. Would like to see Cael do some work with the football team to help with balance and center of gravity. TROY DAVIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Re: Best All-Time Runningbacks

I would agree with Troy Davis. Only offensive threat for 2 years and everyone knew it, but no one could stop him. My friends and I discuss (argue) about how I still think he should have won the Heisman his jr. year. They say "of course he gets 2000 yards, carries the ball all of the time". Maybe, I say, but he still averaged almost 5 yds/carry and as bad as our teams were then, the opposition still couldn't stop him. Tired of that award going to a good player on a good team. That doesn't always mean the best player.
