Re: FB Tickets and NCC info at Cyclones.com

I pay the Varsity price for tickets but donate at the Century level. I agree they do a very poor job of advertising it.

Re: FB Tickets and NCC info at Cyclones.com

I just looked into doing a matching gift at my company (first year out of ISU) and they will apparently match twice the amount given by the employee, with no restrictions on athletic gifts or otherwise :-D It's too bad I don't live closer to Ames, as that could come in quite handy!

So you're saying that Varsity only allows for cheaper football and basketball seats? I live in Kansas City and wasn't planning on getting season tickets but I still wanted to donate. I was thinking the donation levels would be lower like instead of the $1000 level it would be like $800 not the season tickets prices

Age has been the factor on the pair of 50% price tickets - we gave higher than the Varsity level after '03, but still got the cheaper tickets though '07. This year will be the first full price year, and with the re-index, I'm planning on upping the donation too. Of course, the last two years our seats were below our level of giving...

On another note, I noticed you have the option to not put your name on the Cyclone Club donor list. I wonder if various basketball players and football players choose that? (Hornasek, Wallace, Pfizer, etc)

There's no mention of the Varsity level in the Cyclone Club literature. Only reference at all is

What are Varsity tickets and who gets them?

Donors between the ages of 20-29, who join the Cyclone Club,
are eligible to purchase two discounted season tickets for
football and men’s basketball & women’s basketball in a
priority seating area.

I have a question with the Varsity tickets. They cost $195 per season ticket. Does the seating option then apply to how much you have donated to NCC? Or is there certain sections for Varsity seating with no difference in how much you have donated?

They seat you based on your donation level.

I thought you could only get the lower priced tickets in certain areas. That would anger me if they let you buy half priced tickets say inside the 30's.

Doesn't work if you have a company that checks..... like mine.

I believe regardless of where you are, you can get half-priced tickets (2 per person) as long as you're 21-29.

See now ISU needs to promote that, I used to buy single game tickets in my 20's because I did not know I could get a deal on season ones. They would have hooked me about 5 years earlier if they had offered that.
