A big key for Gene will be, if/when we start having success, is either maintaining his staff or at the very least - replacing departed coaches with equally as good or better guys.

This was a huge downfall for D-Mac and has been for many head coaches. The assistants deserve just as much credit for anything we do on the field as the big man does.

If I'm not mistaken, we have a fairly large amount budgeted for asst. coaches, like maybe third highest in the conference, so hopefully that won't be an issue.

I don't know why you would commit to one school if you already had plans to vist another school, were interseted in another school and you were waiting for that scholorship that may or may not come, or just take a visit way out of the blue like Jordan?

I suspect a lot of these kids commit during their visits just to get these coaches to leave them alone and stop pestering them. Also, its probably much easier for 16 and 17 year olds to tell them "no" a few days later by text message or over the phone. The whole recruiting process is somewhat disturbing/perverted, the why grown men fawn all over and make promise after promise to kids....
