Anbody else here coach any football?
I was just curious. I see that cyclones.com has info for the 08 coaches clinic posted. I plan on going this year - anybody else? FYI, I coach junior high football - offensive and defensive lineman, and I run the defense. You can vote for more than one.

Re: Anbody else here coach any football?
I coach the soph OL at Dowling. I'll be at the ISU coaches clinic. Had a great time there the last couple years.
I highly recommend if you are in the area to go up Thursday night for the one-on-one bit with the coaches. Got to know them and sit in on some film sessions with only a couple other coaches rather than the clinic setting.
Exaggeration is a BILLION times worse than understating. -
Re: Anbody else here coach any football?
I've dabbled a little bit in coaching. With my supreme coaching abilities ISU has won four consecutive national titles in NCAA 07.
Oh, did you mean teaching and coaching actual kids? My bad.

Why isn't the XBox/Playstation/Wii option available for us to choose from? Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice? Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this. -

Don't you know? Everyone on this site is as qualified to coach NCAA Division I football and basketball as the coaches we already have, if not more so. Listen to them talk, they'll tell you as much.

Re: Anbody else here coach any football?
I will be at the clinic also.

Re: Anbody else here coach any football?
One time I helped some friends with practice before a pee wee football game if that counts. Otherwise I would be the NCAA 07 coach.

Re: Anbody else here coach any football?
Do you have to be a coach to go to the clinic?? I'd love to go just to learn more about football.

Re: Anbody else here coach any football?
Yes, you need to be a coach.
Went the past 2 years, this will be my third. ISU does a great job of not only putting together some great seminars, teaching tools, etc - but the hospitality is pretty damn good as well. :)

The grass always looks greener, on the other side of the fence, but the dog over there might be meaner, on the other side of the fence… Stay in your own yard, play in your own yard! -

I wasn't trying to make a point, I was just curious who coaches.

Any coaches need a photographer? That's all I do is sports photography. I even take Iowa State's pics. :)

Re: Anbody else here coach any football?
I have been asked to coach by some friends and would love to, it's just too big of a time commitment for me right now...

Aspiring coaches or parents of aspiring football players grades 3rd-7th... www.wdsmlpyfl.com
Great league, but I'm biased.
Coaches can be parents of kids playing in the league or anyone that wants to coach. You need not have your coaching authorization but do need to attend at least one coaching seminar (the ISU coaching clinic is perfect!).
The league is full contact football with weight requirements for anyone that touches the ball (including the tight end). Also, blitzing, trip formations and things like that are not allowed. Special teams is not part of the league - punts worth 30 yards and the ball is spotted at the 40 after a score.
I think the coaching sign-up ends April 14th and player sign-up ends around there as well.
