We will lose a few recruits that way that decide the school calling them potentially has more to offer
Except that we are already losing decommits like rats on a sinking ship. Where is the advantage?
Frankly, given the location of Ames, both far from Southern recruits' families and the relatively harsh climate; as well as the program's history, there are probably far more schools that might "potentially have more to offer" than those that don't.
The one thing Chizik has to sell right now is playing time. The staff would probably be second, then academics are likely a distant third, Are there other schools that can match that? I think so.
