Spring Game
Mark your calendars.
In a mailing to HS FB coaches around the state, ISU has scheduled the spring game for April 19. Not sure of the time, but its usually at 1:00.
Also-Good news for coaches. They are having practice every Saturday and Sunday during the spring season to try and get more coaches up there. Also will be practicing on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I imagine I'll be spending quite a bit of time in Ames in April.

Re: Spring Game
That's the same day as "Cy's house of trivia", so it makes sense. Game in the afternoon, trivia contest that night.

Re: Spring Game
It is officially penciled in.

Re: Spring Game
Excellent and very glad to hear about the weekend practices. I'll have to hit up a few of those as well.

Re: Spring Game
The spring game is also the same weekend as VEISHEA week. There is going to a ton of people in ames that weekend! Should be a busy week!

Oh man, it is game on now!

Re: Spring Game
Didn't realize that. It might be like a few years ago where they had to open up both sides. That may not be possible with the construction. May have to go upper deck.
Hopefully its nice out.

Re: Spring Game
Guess I am out, I will be sitting on a beach in Jamaica that day! Probably the only thing better than going to a game.

Don't forget that the 2008 Football Coaches Clinic will be in town April 3rd-5th, so they'll probably be at the practice on Thursday the 3rd or Saturday the 5th, or both dates.

Practice on Saturday is it. Looks like the guys are off Friday for sure and Thursday is unknown - could be a practice that morning or afternoon...but is not part of the clinic itinerary.

Re: Spring Game
damn, you had me all pumped for VEISHEA and the spring game being on the same weekend. I really think that is a GREAT idea that Iowa State and Ames need to jump on.
I will prolly buckle down and make the drive to Ames BOTH weekends, but it would be nice to bottle them together and you could prolly get a TON better attendance at the Spring Game if you did that.
