Iowa State is looking to the future with Texas defensive end Chad Bimage. Bimage is a player with tremendous upside on the field, but will take a year or two to season himself in junior college before getting started in Ames.
It sounds like he needs to get his grades in order before in can play at ISU.
It's odd that they list this as a "commit". (but then, what is a "commit" anymore, right? )
This kind of thing happens frequently, with D1 coaches helping prospects find a JC, and nurturing/monitoring them through the process, with hopes that when they are eligible they will return the favor by enrolling at the helping D1 school.
kinda hard to get pumped about someone with grade problems, because you never know if they'll work hard enough off the field to stay on it. I don't think we need commits with 4.0's but the guys need to be able to pass college courses and play football. Hope everything works out for him, bcuz that will be good for us as well.
