Texas vs. The Nation Game

I saw that Bret Meyer was added to the "Texas" roster to replace Matt Flynn from LSU. He doesn't show up on the roster on their website or show that he played in the game, but anyone know any more about this other than the release below that shows he was added to the team?

I watched part of the game and the announcer stated BM got his finger broken/dislocated on his first snap of the first practice and the center was from Missouri and they run out of the shotgun. They were trying to work through the finger mishap and than he twisted his ankle.
