Cyclones at the Combine

Well the official invite list for the NFL combine (Feb 20th - 26th) has been released. ISU will be represented by:

BLYTHE, TODD IOWA ST 4 WO 6 WO

BOWEN, ALVIN IOWA ST 9 LB 4 OB

RUBIN, AHTYBA IOWA ST 8 DL 50 NT

Here is hoping they represent well. I hope they post better bench press number then Cyclones have in the past.

I believe Stephenson the only Clone at the combine last year. Its crazy how you can watch guys dressed up in matching shorts and shirts running through drills for hours on end. Hopefully they do well on the Wunderlict tests. Mabe they should show them taking the tests live. Id like to see how Troy Davis got and 8.

I know Meyer won't be drafted but I am surprised that he wasn't invited.

Would Meyer make it as a quarterback or would it be as an athlete/WR if he would theoretically make it that far?

Really? Meyer was a very average college quarterback and isn't nearly quick/agile enough to play any other position.

he's probably better suited to be WR at the next level... doesnt have the arm strength for the NFL

why do the flag in jack trice always fly to the east?
-cuz the hawks suck, and the huskers blow

I really doubt Meyer will make it to the NFL, as a QB or wide receiver. He doesn't have the speed to play wide receiver, since his 40 is something like 4.8.

There has always been a misconception that those who struggle speaking are dumb in general. Maybe Troy falls into that category. Look at George W. Bush. He can't speak worth a hoot, and some consider him to be dumb....but he still graduated from an ivy league college.

I don't think there's much of a maybe in Troy's case.

Re: Cyclones at the Combine

I really hope they make the best of this.. as far as Meyer.. i see him going to a minor league then maybe if he fixes some things gets a back up job at some position.. he is athletic enough.. just needs to work on alot of things

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."
