Not good at all. The way it sounds is we are not in his top 2. WVU and Ole Miss holding those spots.

Well, what keeps me optimistic is that it says two Big East schools and it was written by someone for the USF Bulls. Earlier he said USF wasn't even one of his top three schools. So either he is REALLY still up in the air, or this article is crap. Both possible.

It's hard to tell what this guy is going to do, but I think that he'll stick with the good guys. He kind of sounds to me that he'll tell everyone what they want to hear until it comes down to making a decision. I also think that if he were going to decommit, he would have done it already.
Edit: There is another article written by someone on the Ole Miss staff stating that everything is still even with him and that Ole Miss is still involved. That is why I say he tells everyone what they want to hear.

Re: new development on lj?
He's a great player but he's just as much a fan of the media and attention. Honestly the good-guys don't know what he's planning and unfortunately I think he's wanting to draw things out as long as possible. At this point I'd love to have him but I'm not going to stay awake worrying about it. It seems like the kids that want the attention the most are the ones that end up fizzling out or getting into legal trouble. I'll take him but he needs to realize that he's just one member of the team and the cameras won't always be focused on him.
A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player. -
Re: new development on lj?
Here's my 2 cents.....and i wrote about it in another thread.... i think this kid is extremely smart and doing what he thinks is best for him and i cannot blame him for that, i would do the same thing....
But, from all the posts, it depends on which rivals team is contacting him to determine exactly what is going on....When WVU contacts him, its about the top three ISU, Ole Miss and WVU. Then suddenly there's a USF rivals story that says its down to USF and WVU and now ISU and Ole Miss are out. Now if Paul called him, it would be that its down to three ISU, USF and WVU.....
This young man has visited multiple schools and seen whats out there, enjoyed his trips and if it were me, enjoyed having my ego inflated at each stop including ISU. When it comes down to it, i think he will see his main goal is to get on the field and showcase his talents. There are a lot of first day NFL draft selections that come from teams that are not in the BCS title game. But, in order to get better you need two things:
Playing time number 1.
A coach that can elevate/showcase your skills.
If you look around at the schools were competing with for this young man, he has to see through all the sales pitches and see his playing time at ISU will be earlier and working with a guy like Chizik and his staff, he's coached 3 thorpe award winners, can any of the other schools claim that - NO....So where would it make the most sense for him to elevate his game and be on the field in 2008.....

I think he just enjoys messing with all of our minds. I think he's known where he wanted to go for a long time, albeit ISU, or some other school.
