Late signees may be a positive for Chizik

Amid all the doom and gloom of some during this recruiting season, having the ability to still sign some recruits seems to be working to Coach Chizik's advantage. Teams who have oversigned players, players who played around too long and couldn't make up their mind, and some who others where a college that made a promise, but wouldn't pull the trigger are still available to Iowa State. Division 1A seem to make their living off these type of players. If Iowa State can take advantage of being a D-1 school with a few schollys available, this may work out great! We'll know more tomorrow.

Will there be some sort of recruiting informational party in Des Moines so that the staff can let us know more details about the recruits? I went to a couple of these in the past and thought they were pretty cool.

Good points ketelmeister. I think GC is very opportunistic (Bo Williams as an example) and will jump on some solid players after other programs don't liveup to expectations. His honest no nonsense approach to recruiting will pay dividends in the long run. By the way, Owatonna is a great town.
