Does anyone think any of these guys will be able to step in and play their first year here?
What freshman do you remember starting in their first year as a cyclone?

Sed Johnson will start
One of our Kickers
Carlson as a returner?
I would be shocked if LJ didn't either

Might be more realistic to talk about being in the 2 deeps than starting.
Looking at it from that standpoint, I would say:
Johnson
Johnson
Carlson
Benton
Harper
Guyer
I think they will try to redshirt the rest. Sedrick Johnson has a chance to be a starter, as does Guyer. The rest have a chance to be in the 2 deeps.

As I understand it the plan with the kickers is to split the duties with one kicking off and the other kicking the FG's.

Cyclone
Iowa State became the Cyclones after they leveled Northwestern in 1895. As the Chicago Tribune (9/29/1895) noted:
'Struck by a Cyclone
It Comes from Iowa and Devastates Evanston Town'

What about including the redshirts from last year in the list?

Guyer looks like he has a "leg up" in the kickoff competition. He booted them in his video on Cyclones.com. Mahoney had some tochbacks, but Guyer sent them throught the endzone.

Well, I am not sure who is going to start, however, I am excited. I just watched GC and the recruits videos on Clone Zone....$9 bucks well spent if interested. Anyway, the recruits that I saw were either running down the guy with the ball or out running the defense...very impressive! I was impressed with several, however, the kid that caught my eye is Steve Ruempolhamer...the dude is going to be a great D-tackle for us....his video shows 3 offensive lineman trying to keep him out of the back field...by the way, they couldn't!
Anyway, thought I would pass along a little excitement about the class!
P.s. Bo runs with his pads low..any defender is going to get his head ripped off if they try to tackle him high!!!

The post game interviews are worth it alone in my opinion. Plus you get all this extras interviews and game reruns on demand. Yes it's worth it. | | |

The best deal is for the year if it fits into your budget.
I really enjoy it,

I've heard Guyer has the better leg, so probably will do most of the kickoffs and maybe long field goals. Mahoney might the the FG and extra point guy. Can't wait to have someone be able to put the ball in the endzone on kickoffs.
