With the excitement that this class is going to create and going into Chizik's second year, do you think the season ticket sales will go up? I think they will, I am more excited about this season than I have ever had. With Austin getting another year under his belt with this system, I could really see him doing some special things next year with Sedrick and Company at his side.

I think there needs to be a little self check with a lot of ppl. By no means does an above average recruiting day mean instant W's on the board. The rest of the Big XII North also had excellent days for the most part.

3-9 finish with no Iowa game on the home schedule, I'm not too optimistic it will go up

Ticket sales will go up but this class has nothing to do with it. I think people are just getting a glimpse of JPs and GCs (and GMacs too) vision for the future with the facility improvements and aggressive marketing approaches...

I'd say the missing third option, stays the same. We had record sales and there is excitement in the program even before the signing class, but with the few I'm buying a season ticket because Pollard sticking it to me EIU fans not buying this year we'll round out the same. And yes I'm trying to sound sarcastically whiny as a EIU fan would.

Cyclone
Iowa State became the Cyclones after they leveled Northwestern in 1895. As the Chicago Tribune (9/29/1895) noted:
'Struck by a Cyclone
It Comes from Iowa and Devastates Evanston Town'

I think it will go down or stay around the same mainly because Iowa isn't on the schedule (and no Texas and Oklahoma, although I am happy for that).

About the same to slightly higher.
I bought one more than last year myself.

The casual fan has no knowledge about this class. I talked to 3 seperate season ticket holders today, and none of them even knew it was signing day. Let's face it, if you're not one of the several hundred on this board or CR, you're probably not paying much attention.

I think they'll go down, but not by much. We have one less home game this year, so some will say the price per game is rising.
My own order will be reduced by two tickets unless I can recruit some new Cyclone fans. One of my friends got married (won't go into that one) and the other is moving to Phoenix.

I'm in the stays the same boat with a +/- 1000 window - as that's virtually the same.
All depends on marketing over the spring/summer. With Pollard, I'd venture to guess the marketing will be great. The increased donation requirements, 6 home game schedule and no Iowa will have an adverse impact - so it will need to be good enough to offset that.

We only need to play like we did at the end of the season for more Ws on the board. More players only helps

I think if they did the same marketing campaign they did last year where they traveled all over the state and taking coaches and student-athletes was a bigtime winner over EIU. I think that makes people realize us, if they haven't before, and they think "hey, it seems like soemthing fun, these coaches and players look very personable, maybe we should try it out" then they go and they love it.!!

If we only win 3 or 4 games there's no way JP can justify raising ticket prices. However, no way in hell it goes down.
I already know of people who aren't renewing their tickets. My wife and I are actually upping our ante by finally joining the National Cyclone Club. We are still a fickle fan base imho, although I was amazed at the support the team got last year.

I didn't think they'd do it the last couple seasons, but they keep doing it. Until they prove that they can't, I will assume we will be higher again this year, if only slightly.
