Brayden Burris signs with ISU

Sounds like a solid player. A nice little add to this class; shouldn't mean much this next year as I would put his odds at getting redshirted at about 99.99%, but should be a decent player down the line.

Bishop Carroll has an awfully good football team - I went and watched a couple of their games last fall. Had I known that ISU was after this guy, I would have paid more attention. 6'7, 250 seems small, but they all looked like they had pretty good technique and footwork, so maybe he's just quick.
It looks like he committed early to K-State and didn't take any other visits. Then the Clown Prince said two weeks ago that he wanted him to grayshirt, and Burris said no thanks.

I don't know why KU didn't go after him, but he verballed to KSU a long time ago. When Prince went JUCO crazy he told most of his high school recruits he wanted them to "grayshirt", in essence be a preferred walkon, so he understandably took the big middle finger from KSU and decided to go where he would be appreciated

Committed to KSU for a long time and then Prince told him he had to grayshirt to make room for one of the 40 JC guys he had coming. Pissed the kid off and he reopened his recruitment.

Was heavily recruited to KSU, committed to them I believe. Prince brought a ton of JUCO's on board and ran out of schollies. Burris was one of multiple KSU's high school recruits who was asked to grayshirt so a JUCO could take the scholarship. Burris told Prince to find someone else and joined the good guys.

I guess this was discussed a week ago when I said it was likely that he would come to ISU, but Brayden Burris offiicially signed with ISU yesterday or today.
