Iowa State in the Spread...count on it!

I think somewhere around 50% still, since Chizik really likes running the ball and we will have the horses at RB.

Bates has a great arm..don't forget that. I believe Iowa State had a spread offense in the playbook last year, but didn't have the personel to run it. Minnesota tried to immediately implement it last season, and it was too soon and was a mess. Chizik decided to put it in more slowly, get the people he wants and put it in. I don't think we'll give up running by any means, but we will run plenty of spread offense and runs off the spread I believe. Like was said, if receivers can grab and hold, everyone will be forced to go to that offense. I don't like the calls, but they are reality right now.

Seems like we would keep a pretty solid balance between run and pass, since Chizik likes the run (good!), and we do play in a sort of wind tunnel, which can affect the passing game.
