Yes, I am cynical, but how couldn't you be after this recruiting season?
One of the Aggie boards actually started discussing this on Feb. 8th.

So what qualifies for potential premium info, as opposed to a good source you don't have?
As a side note, I have no idea what the post said that was deleted. Just find it strange to delete a post for potential premium info. I said potential because it appeared to be so, as they referenced a post by Paul Clark, of Cyclone Report. I do not have a membership to CR, so I erred on the side of caution, prudence, and common sense.
Please PM me if you have any other questions.

I don't know how this will come out, but why does all this crap happen to ISU? Of the thousands of FB players that committed this year, how many are rumored to have this kind of a situation? one? How about Lucca? There must be dozons of internation players in the US, yet only two seem to fall under this special rule.

If going to ISU is something that is going to have an adverse effect on Sedrick's family, I'd be willing to bet that Chizik will tear up the LOI, because it is the right thing to do...

So you are saying that Iowa State is the only school that has ever had a kid de-committ or flake out on a LOI? Better read some other boards, I assure you it happens all over the place.
The Lucca situation is kind of a werid deal, but we aren't the first school to be screwed by NCAA and we won't be the last.

I am a member of Aggie premium boards. I will not post anything specific from there or ISU premium boards without prior permission or without it being general knowledge.
This has been floating on the Aggie boards for days. Mom is not happy.

Am I the only one who thinks it's shady as heck that the coaches at A&M are backing the mom here? If they were upstanding people they would be like "let the kid decide where he wants to go...Iowa State? good luck to ya" but instead they are like "well, the mom wants him here, we'll use that as leverage" and making it a big deal!
A&M should not even be considering this, and it really puts them in a bad light in my eyes that they are.... | | |

My question is has A&M had contact with him since signing day? Isn't that tampering if so? Coach is learning the hard way how the north in the big 12 seems to always get screwed by the south schools. ($)

It has to be hard to be stuck between two divorced parents. Best of wishes to SJ no matter what his decision because I would guess he is in a very stressful situation at the moment.

If A&M accepts his LOI and takes him in a backdoor way, what does that say about their football program? This is a very shaddy deal. Most mom's want their kids to be happy, and will support them. This may not be about the kid but the parents. It also maybe about one more thing, T&M does have some rich boosters.

I said that cause a guy said one guy can't make a team. And I said if we wouldnt of had Seneca when he was there we wouldnt of been that good. I wasnt comparing Seneca to sj at all. I'm not as mad about it anymore.

You don't have to let him out of his LOI at all....and I don't think Chizik will. He may very well have passed on other WR's who would have come here because he had Sedrick in the fold....and now they're gone elsewhere. It's the only protection that schools have in the process. I believe Johnson has three options if Chizik does not let him out of his LOI:
(1) Keep his committment and play for ISU.
(2) Go to Texas A&M, lose a year of eligibility and start playing in 2009.
(3) Go to Texas A&M paying his own way (non-scholarship) and play right away.

I knew he was too good of a player to play for the Cardinal and Gold.
