Unless the mother sent in a LOI to A&M without Sedrick's approval, I've got a bad feeling about this. Does he want to be here or not?

I realize the parents are divorced... but unless his parental rights have been revoked he is still a guardian.

I am thinking back to when I went to college, other than driving me to my visits, I don't think my parents ever said anything about where I would go.

Ok, I dont come from a divorced family so I dont know. If a kid's parents get divorced and they have shared custody then who is the legal gaurdian? I'm assuming if only one parent has custody they are the legal. Will a lawyer step in and help me out?
Either way Sed needs to get away from big Momma and spread his wings.

Either way Sed needs to get away from big Momma and spread his wings. Not a lawyer, but in that situation myself. There is legal custody, and then there is physical custody. I have shared legal and physical custody of my son. They are two separate items, and I suppose it might be common to have shared physical custody, while having one parent as the sole legal guardian. | |

I can't help but laugh at the posts from the Aggies from signing day claiming that Sedrick "won't qualify for ISU"....newsflash: A&M is harder to get into than ISU. If he wouldn't qualify here, I don't see him qualifying there unless some major strings are pulled.

This whole situation is re-*******-tarded.

The point is if he wants to stay with ISU, I hope we get lawyers involved and fight tooth and nail to keep him. If not, let him go. The sooner the better, put it behind us.

I had almost forgotten what it felt like to be kicked in the groin. This story is a nice, healthy reminder.

Maybe Momma use white out on the orginal and faxed it in herself. After this soap opera doesnt sound too far-fetched.
