Re: Bo Williams
I think the reason he can run right away is athletes don't have to sit out a year when transferring in non-revenue sports.

Re: Bo Williams
33 Knows Bo! Good stuff as always.

Re: Bo Williams
Glad to hear some FB players are on the track team and working out with the FB team. Track can do nothing but good things for these guys.

Re: Bo Williams
Track is not a 'full scholarship' sport so players don't have to sit out a year. Basketball and Football are the only ones that do.

You might be surprised to learn that baseball is now also on the list for either this year or next. I don't necessarily agree with this change. Most transfers were driven by a kid trying to find an opportunity or the right fit for their talents. A few examples of top level programs raiding guys from lower programs generated enough support for the change. Unfortunately, it would have been easier for ISU to re-establish the program with the old transfer policy.

Unfortunately, it would have been easier for ISU to re-establish the program with the old transfer policy. Baseball has ALWAYS had alot of transfers, thats one reason the API was so bad by the old standards. I think the sheer volume and late development of players leads to alot of 'diamond in the ruff' types. Trust me, the top notch schools aren't afraid to outright recruit guys that are playing on other teams.

Re: Bo Williams
Didn't we have another football player run track in the late 80's?

Re: Bo Williams
Sumrall ran track I believe.

Re: Bo Williams
I'll be there this afternoon shooting photos so will try to get a shot of him as he goes by!!
33, Does he have dreds??? I saw a new guy working out over there a couple days ago, I wonder if that is Bo??

Re: Bo Williams
I looked over the 200m heat sheets and don't see Bo but he is in heat one of the 60m in Lane 8 so that should go off about 12:50 Saturday. I didn't like that because I want to see the oldtimers game at hilton also.
He'll probably be there today hanging around even if he isn't in the 200.
Also, just to mention this, there are some great teams here. I was down there a little while ago and UCLA and Arizona State are here. We went out to Hickory Park last night and it was full of track teams. One of the Mizzou coaches told me that ours is one of the top five indoor tracks in the country because of it's width and the radius of the turns and also the surface itself. A lot of top teams like to come here because they can get NCAA qualifying times on our track!! -
Re: Bo Williams
I meant to type this before but forgot. Bo is running UNATTACHED so he is not really on the ISU team. So possibly he does have to sit out from track also.

As much as I want to see him kick some *** on the field, I'm even more excited that he's a good human being. Also, I'm glad he hasn't ran his *** back to Florida yet after this streak of winter. If this doesn't scare him off, I don't think anything will.
